Hey Guys,

I'm in the process of beefing up a client's home internet, he wants 2 4MBit ADSL lines (hopefully soon to be 8 or 10Mbit each), I'm thinking two ADSL modems, with a Mikrotik board doing ML-PPP to the two gateways, the online manual specifies client-based policies, but how can I just do a straight-forward bond, with no policies? Are there any easier or more cost effective ways of doing this? Any tips would be appreciated, since my Mikrotik-experience is limited.

My understanding is that ML-PPP requires support on the server end. i.e. without operating a PPPoE server yourself that is set up to allow PPP-MP, you are probably out of luck.

That said, it may actually be the case that Telkom's PPPoE will do PPP-MP anyway, which I would be interested to find out.

Out of curiousity, has anyone ever tested whether the Telkom PPP servers have PPP-MP enabled, or not? Should be easy enough to do with two Telkom accounts, even over the same ADSL line, if you know how to set it up on your side.

They don't, very few providers in the world do ml-ppp.
