milietv IPTV - any info?

Got an advert for
www.milietv.co.za
http://www.fibrestream.co.za/milietv/

Sports Bouquet R190/month
Premium Select, 168+ channels, 4+ languages - R249/per month
Other Language Bouquets, 100+channels selected languages - R149/per month

MilieTV™ is a middleware that uses the internet to give users a TV watching experience. It's simple, instead of broadcasting programs, users now have the option to stream a variety of channels through their internet connection

Look promising...
The websites and Google search does not show much.

Does anyone have a list of channels?

I used one of my online query email addresses to see what they offer. Looks very dodgy. Makes me think of those aerials that they are selling as being able to get encrypted channels.

LOL there is no way Naspers will allow anyone to stream the Sky Sports channels, which has the same content they buy broadcasting rights for SuperSport for at (allegedly) great expense, for the price quoted on MilleTV.

Yeah, I got this from a third part. As far as I know, there is no legal IPtv provider in SA.
We are involved with DSTV over fibre deployments direct with multichoice and I haven't heard anything from them regarding an IPtv provider.

Thanks.
I spoke to fibrestream and it seems this is a relaunch of a product.
Skyfibre/skyfi is also offering this.
Not sure two well established ISP's would offer illegal content.

My hope is that it's legitimate.

We could do with some competition to DSTV.

Edit: whois

I repeat. There is NO WAY this is legal. Those are nothing but illegal IPTV streams these guys are "selling" at a premium, streams which you should be able to watch for free after a simple Google search.

Why? As var as I know there is nothing wrong with quoting ex VAT prices as long as you clearly state that it is ex VAT.

It is illegal. You can't just say it is ex vat. You have to include both prices:

Section 64(1) of the VAT Act states that any price charged by a vendor for a taxable supply shall for purposes of the VAT Act be deemed to include any VAT that is to be levied on such supply in terms of s7(1)(a). Section 65 of the VAT Act states that any price advertised or quoted by a VAT vendor must include VAT and the vendor must state in the advertisement or quote that the price includes VAT, unless the total amount of VAT in terms of s7(1)(a), the price excluding tax and the price inclusive of tax are advertised or quoted. Importantly, s65 goes on to state that if the VAT vendor decides to advertise or quote the VAT, the price exclusive of VAT and the price inclusive of VAT separately, both prices must be advertised or quoted with equal prominence and impact.
