Fair enough. My first 2 years of internet was on a cell-c dongle. I know all about expensive online gaming.

Hosted in the UK. Ping isn't too bad though. Not sure how it will handle with more players but all are welcome.

Very much wish I could take part but I've tried FTB in the past and my machine just doesn't have the chops to run it smoothly.

Haven't played modded the ping looks ok, so will give this a shot.
Quick question WTF is a "obsidian totem pole" weird map also lots of little islands interesting, you looking at building a spawn town or something ?

With all the mods, there are a lot more structures through out the world. You'll be amazed at what else you'll find. Best is to google the stuff. each mod has its different wikis.
The inventory should be in recipe mode, so by hovering over an item and pressing R, it should give you the recipe of that item.

Don't need much of a machine playing on a server, the server does most of the heavy lifting

Obs totems are thaumcraft, be careful of the crimson Knights! Thaumcraft is a great mod, probably the best, made by a saffa too

Scott prob knows but did you know that thaumcraft was made by some South African dude?? One of the best mods out there. I'm waiting for the Telkom tech to arrive to do my line. If all goes well I will be online tonight.
Porchrat if you are tech savvy at all have a look at installing a mod called optifine and fastcraft both will help with performance.
The server doesn't do too much heavy lifting but it may just help with your performance a little but not significantly
