MineCraft Survival Online - Vanilla Server

Hi Guyz,

Is there still anyone playing MineCraft online, if so, where?

I want to play normal Survival no-Cheat, no-Rules MineCraft not the Creative stuff. Anyone agree?

I wish I could setup a server, but SA's uploads speeds for normal ADSL accounts are to slow. Also Telkom's service and stability is too bad to host a server. You will never be able too setup a reliable server if you do it from home.

If you have an business account or a custom account that gives you 4Mb/s upload speed 24/7. Note that these accounts don't come cheap.

Hopefully when we do ever get VDSL this issue will be resolved and you will see a lot of privately hosted game servers in the country, but I will not hold my breath for VDSL.

Currently it is just a yes server for my son and his friend, busy sorting out all the fine details. If it works out o.k. I'll then migrate it to my hosting server in the US.

Oh yes I tried Beastcraft out. They have a nice server. Has some uptime issues if I remember correctly but it was fun.

I recently started playing on Eliteminez.co.za's server. They seem alright and have a variety of game types, including survival, creative, factions, mini-games, etc.
