Mini Wireless Mouse

If you are planning to use this on a laptop with bluetooth, then I'd get a bluetooth mouse instead. The Nano-receivers are nice and small, but if you can avoid them altogether, then why not? I'm always fighting for USB ports on my laptop. Now that I have a bluetooth mouse, I have one more USB port. On my laptop, the following devices are all competing for the 3 USB ports: e-cigarette, phone charger, external hard drive(s), flash drive(s), digital camera, iPod, etc.

Also, the nano-receivers can get damaged if you are a bit clumsy with your laptop (like most people are), which means you have to replace the entire the mouse, as the nano-receiver is tied to a particular mouse in the hardware encoding.

Yes, I using my current wireless mouse on a laptop that has bluetooth. I prefer a mouse that's smaller than the normal desktop variety, because I don't want to lug around a massive mouse :D.

These Chinese ones are smaller than the brand names, but unfortunately you get what you pay for in terms of low battery usage technology.

Get the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. I recently bought about 5 our company, and the guys are loving it. They are all used on laptops, and the guys carry it in their laptop bags. I use one myself. Previous to this mouse, I had a Logitech mouse with the Nano receiver - also a great mouse, but the Microsoft one is way better. It's also relatively small and compact - but probably not as small as you would like.

They're going for about R200 from PC International in Randburg.

That's an excellent price for that mouse.

We use a few at work as well. Nice mice, but I get about 2-3 weeks on batteries. Not great at all, but if you have 2 sets of rechargeable batteries you'll be fine

I have a Logitech (dunno what model) that's nice and the batteries last about a month.

2-3 weeks is terrible. What batteries are you using? They should last at least 6 months with Duracell batteries, and even more if you turn the mouse off when it is not needed, or at least whenever your PC is off or in standby.
