While the minister will have the power to agree or not, she will not be able to appoint friends and impose her decision on the panel,” he explained.

Which one was that? We have so many 'soon to be announced' hard to keep track (of something that never happens.) Zzzz. :rolleyes:

WTF ? Contradictions abound ... fsking politics ... how can she not be able to impose her power while still having the final yay/nay ?

That's like saying a judge cannot affect the outcome of a court case because of the legal procedures in place but the judge has final guilty/not guilty ruling power.

That MOC position does not need to have any say in the controlling authority. NONE !
Why does she have any say at all ?
How does that benefit the country ?

you are correct sir - there have been a couple of articles confusing the ECB and the ICASA Amendment doodah - the two are of course very closely related
