While an official military's actions may indeed be considered acts of terror, a true terrorist organization is one that is not officially a military. Especially one that wages an illegal war and murders innocent civilians of their own accord for no reason other than advancing their political agenda.

The water is muddy indeed, no argument here that militaries fit the description. The dictionary definition however gives an official military that is acting on orders a free pass when it comes to terrorism.

Correct. Agreed 100%. I was just using 30 as an arbitrary age where you would have had enough experience in anything in life to be considered a veteran of it.

The Nuremberg defense does not work when you were involved in war crimes. In SA we had the TRC that dealt with these things.

The one-armed bandit has admitted that he ran away from the ANC military camp and, during his escape that he lost his arm when he was shot by soldiers of the Ugandan army.

That can't be called “combat” but some members of the MKMVA wanted to prosecute him for fraud in 2018 so perhaps that is his qualification.

Based on the records of many ANC comrades and officials, being a criminal is a positive attribute when being considered for promotion and I wonder if the Party regards muggings, rape, robbery and murder in the same light.
