Hi there

How do I got about getting .mkv / .flv thumbnails in Windows 7?

Thanks in advance

Right click move to view and select large icon :D

Go into the folder and right click on the white area not a file.

..er dude no. Windows 7 is not generating thumbnails for those filetypes. My mpgs and avis are fine.

Try this setting in Haali Media Splitter - Options - Explorer Integration - Enable thumbnails extraction - YES.

To install that you need to install an MKV codec playback pack such as the CCCP.
It will then be under CCCP - Filters - Haali Media Splitter.

I assume this is to enable a screenshot on the file like in normal avi? because that doesnt change anything for me, is the thumbnail offset significant?

It's the position on the timeline you want the screen shot (poster) taken. The default is 0. Maybe change it to something else.

There is a possibility this may not work with Windows 7.
