I'm suddenly having problems receiving MMS messages. Geting the messages, but unable to view the pics. My i-mate K-JAM says the message will remain in my inbox. My settings are as follows:

Servername = Vodacom 2.0 MMSC
Gateway = 196.6.128.13
Port nr. = 8080
Server address = http://mmsc.vodacom4me.co.za
Connect via: Vodacom MMS
WAP version: WAP 2.0

Haven't changed anything since I last successfully received an MMS.

Anyone has an idea what could be wrong?

Thanks

Try and retrieve it manually by clicking on the MMS menu and then on 'Retrieve'. This normally works.

I'm having the same problem with my K-Jam. As a matter of fact my K-Jam is an absolute pain in the behind. I reboot it about 20 times per day. From some on-line forums it seems to be quite common and seems to be caused by some residents apps.

I'm going to try some new ROMs from XDA-Developers Hopefully that'll help.

where do you see "Retrieve" on the MMS menu? the same as Send/receive? not working either...

I've had my KJAM for a month now and it's suddenly starting to slow down. Dunno why. Even with unused apps. shut down through memory settings. Let me know if you're able to find a solution.

Not Send/Receive. Will rather be 'Retrieve' or 'Download'. Don't have a MMS stuck right now to check exact option.

Use MemMaid to check what's running on your system. I've removed the virus software and Skype as well as all duplicate notifications and that made a big difference.

There is also a CPU speed increase utility that seems popular.

Another gotcha to watch for:

While connected to your PC via active sync, the device will not retrieve a MMS. You need to unplug the phone and then retrieve any waiting MMS's.

Seems the MMS app tries to use the PC connection.

BTW, my K-Jam's stability is MUCH better since I dumped the AntiVirus software. Instead of wanting to throw it against the nearest wall, I now only have to grid my teeth and wait the compulsory 3 seconds for a response. Also now only reboot twice a day, up from the reboot per 5 minutes, out of the box.....

I also removed duplicate notifications with MemMaid and don't get memory low errors anymore.

Next up is the CPU-overclock hack.
