MMS Settings

Hey Guys.

A really stupid question. Have friends on holiday from Oz. The are using their Nokia 6111 with a pre paid vodacom number.

Thing is, they can send and receive sms, make calls, but even after getting the mms and wap settings by dialling 111, when receiving an MMS is tells them to connect to the web to collect it?

Any advice?

Get the settings directly from Nokia.

Nokia settings almost always work first time!

hmmm maybe settings just arent correct. go to messages - message settings - mulitmedia settings then Acces point in use and make sure it is on (cant remember vodacom setting) mms.gprs or mms gprs or vodacom mms. sorry im a MTN guy myself lol

You also need to enable the sim card for data usage... (used to at least, not sure if it's still the same), just call 111 and talk to someone and ask them to activate the sim card
