Just watched this weeks episodes of American Idols - Hollywood

I think the Americans are leagues ahead of SA Idols ito talent and vocal ability etc.

We have a zillion ppl in SA + another zillion immigrants - Why does Idols SA have such mediocre talent in their TOP 8?

I think the Americans are leagues ahead of SA Idols ito talent and vocal ability etc.

We have a zillion ppl in SA + another zillion immigrants - Why does Idols SA have such mediocre talent in their TOP 8?

They have many guys behind the scenes with years of experience - both on tv and vocal coaches etc. For me I think its a bit of both, remember that you are watching a tv show, vocals can be altered even if they not singing into a mic, you still need a mic somewhere to pick up the voices. America has the best producers,sound engineers (even for tv) they use the best equipment in the business as well.
