If you're not into sport there is not much point in getting DSTV. Sure History and Discovery are decent even Series isn't that bad but you don't get much else.

There is no word to describe the movies channels

I hardly watch DSTV, there is rarely anything good on. But I mean for BBC, Discovery Chanel and History channel, not to mention sport, R 500 is not bad at all in my opinion.

TV sucks or SA's tv sucks?

Also consider what whatever you might possibly be watching on your pc usually makes it to the small screen in SA eventually, is it really fair to say tv sucks even here in SA.

Except that those people who watch DSTV (and pay its subs) or buy the DVDs actually PAY for the shows. The guys who download all those episodes without paying for DSTV or later buying at least SOME of the DVDs are just freeloaders. That's how I see it.
