We have one of the those super old Mnet decoders and its starting to give us grey hairs, does any know if we could purchase another DSTV decoder and ask them to move just Mnet to that decoder/smart card?

I prefer to keep the Mnet separate from our DSTV.

Dave is right.
Unfortunately the split signal system is only allowed for existing customers.

You could contact them and ask if you can join their DTT trial... Picture quality will be much higher than analogue.

You could buy a 2nd hand decoder from cashconverters(or any of those stores), the papers, online???

The problem with buying a secondhand Mnet decoder is that Multichoice will not allow you to use it unless you have the written permission and a copy of the ID book of who ever they have recorded as the previous owner of the decoder on their system. This can be almost impossible to obtain if the decoder is passed through the hands of several different people before it gets to you.

Thanks for all the replies, I will def try to get onto their DTT trail but in the meantime it think its going to best to take the leap to extra view.

One more question, can you purchase two extra view decoders or would I have to purchase a PVR decoder as well?

If you just want to split the signal, two extra view decoders will work. You don't need the PVR unless you actually want that functionality.

Please note that you will require a dual LNB.
