From an entertainment perspective I can see how a series like this won't appeal to the majority of viewers. I think they completely missed the mark with this concept.

I agree with almost everything that has been said here, except that that are using D5000. That's the first thing I looked for as I am Nikon user, and after the presenter said 'The best tools' I was intrigued as to what that might be.. liar... Entry level camera.
As far as entertainment/education value is concerned, missed the mark totally. No info on camera settings, problems faced, technical info etc etc. As mentioned before, more of a 'lets get on with it to see who's the winner' Might as well skip ahead to the last episode in my opinion. No behind the scenes drama, trials and tribulations. To much talking from presenter..

where did they find the contestants? Did you hear the comment from the model 'I don't know much about cameras so i just leave it on Auto..heheheh' .....seriously? and the PRO, he must be the best photographer in the world 'I have NEVER made a mistake in all my years of shooting' wow..he shouldn't be on Mnet, he should be on NatGeo or Discovery.. i agree with all comments, great concept but packaging is poor. assumin they got a few pros in, in this instance, real photo journalists, to give tips to the contestants before the challenge.. 'ie best places to stand..what to avoid..stay out of the way of the emergency personnel etc..' then do a post shoot analysis ... at least the viewers can benefit too and not watch ppl shouting and running.. the strikes are over already.

So what are they using then if not the D5000?
When they were having the fancy camera closeup shots of the Nikon camera when they announced the task and showed the table of cameras they did show a closeup of the model number.
If you watch a recording of the show you will be able to tell for sure. It was either a D3000 or D3100 model number.

I see, when they flashed through recorded images of the gear it was definitely D5000 so looks like they mixing it up a bit.

Kuk show.

Did I miss something in the elimination where they asked the guy why they did not pick picture x (their choice) and then at the elimination the dude pics the team member that took the pic and they booted him off?
