Mo Nice deals.

Well you will have to play the game ' Yesterday I registered a new sim just to get the cheaper mo nice deals I currently have the 1gig for R12 @ 14 days and the 2gig for R25 for 30 days since my current deals were getting kind of expensive

The 450 gig deal is on the new sims and the existing smart broadband customers were shifted to the 5gig for R5 night surfer

Their system algorithms are based off usage' so yeah will have to keep on playing for better odds

I've been buying the 500GB nightsurfer every month since July 2017 and never got the 450gb or 5GB option. So I'm gonna say it's not based on usage at all.

I haven't been able to purchase the 5GB nightly deal for almost a week now. Every time I try I just get an sms saying "maximum opt-ins have been reached for the opt-in period - 2 per campaign". Getting really fed up with this.

Exactly the same problem I'm having! Over a week with no success in buying the 5 gig night bundle. Same response, even contacted Telkom via social media and they're telling me to keep trying every day!

What is the opt in period? Daily? Monthly or based on the validity of the bundle you buy?

IE:
Daily bundles = no more than 2 per day
Weekly bundles = no more than 2 per week
Monthly bundles = no more than 2 per month etc??

I need a pile of data while working away from home, just wondering how many 10GB Telkom bundles I can buy in a 2 week period...

Same here. Did you manage to resolve this?

I got this a while back. I don't recall doing anything to make it go away, but the next time I tried ( about a week later ) there were deals.

Annoying how badly implemented this whole story is :(

I'm on a FreeMe 1GB. Friends on the same contract get offers though. Will try again in a few days....

I agree, according to my sim i can get 10GB @ R110 (30days) but when i want to buy it at absa it shows only expensive data deals.

:erm:

You need to have the airtime on your SIM, then just select the Mo Nice deal you want to buy and complete it via USSD.

Simple as that- no need to involve a 3rd party. Unless you need the airtime.

Now this i what i received for R110 for 10gb.
Hello! You have 41 MB "Once-Off Internet bundle" available. 41 MB will expire on 01/08/2018
WTF, it must be the Telkom/MTN roaming that i use.

R110 down the drain.

I really have no idea. I do know I can have a night data bundle and a daily data bundle going at the same time and that's about it. I have also been able to buy the night data bundle again for the past two days, but I wouldn't be surprised if I'm blocked again tonight. Honestly, this entire scheme is a farce. The deals are great, but the implementation is so anti consumer I'm surprised it's even legal.

I had that once before too- I think you may have chosen the wrong bundle- check how much was deducted from your account.

I was certain I chose the right one, but ja. Telkom. Who knows.

I doubt it'll have take R110, more like R3.50 or something. Try again. What did the 'Rxyz was deducted from your account" say?

Agreed. Interesting to see that they can manage all of this when the other arseholes claim they can't even prevent OOB.

I have a 2GB FreeMe bundle, comes with T2T airtime, WhatsApp / IM Data, normal data + LIT music data.

My dashboard currently shows

0.4/2GB all Network Free
7/10GB Telkom Data Free
243.64 / 500 MB IM data free
1GB LIT Music remaining
226min Telkom Airtime remaining

That's 4 different data balances in the mix :)

"R 110.00 was deducted from your account." !!!!!!
