Port Elizabeth - Three women, all members of the same family, were killed after an angry mob of villagers accused them of practising witchcraft at Lusikisiki, said Eastern Cape police on Friday.

A 70-year-old woman, her daughter, 56, and granddaughter, 26, were stabbed to death with bush knives and other objects on Wednesday night, said captain Zamukulungisa Jozana.

"The mob of villagers who believed they were witches held them captive at the Gura locality from 16:00 to 20:00 and then killed them," he said.

No arrests have been made and police are investigating three cases of murder.

The savagery of Africa. Reminds me of that woman in East London who was burnt alive the other day by a mob because they thought she was a witch.

Jan van Riebeek made a big mistake to try to learn the mamparras a thing or two in South Africa, the bosmantjies, look at us now. God help us please, or maybe god have given up with the $hit, and focused on another planet

Exactly, if those woman were real hardcore witches, then they would certainly let those mob “butt buddies” turn into a smoke cloud, but to come back to 2007 years ago, the thing with Jesus, if he didn’t wanted to die and eats up all the crap of the people around him spitting on him and moering him with sticks, why didn’t he let a thunder bolt drop down on all of them and kill them all, if I were him I would kill every last one those mamparras cursing me and spitting on me!!! For real!,

Think about this: How nice would it be if “heaven” can be on earth? Jesus needs to come back and show us a thing or two and bring a couple of nukes with him, or very big rocks, no jokes!

Some of the comments that I see that people are making on this blog, makes me think that those amongst us who claim to be civilised people are capable of equaly savage acts.

Look at the comments that Telkomisaloser made about the Minister of Health on my weblog with the title "How can we improve the public health sector in SA"

Wow. im more concerned with some of the perceptions/statements being thrown about in this thread than the actual news article.

Do you actually need to be explained the difference between someone in a public forum saying they are going to throw a 50 ton nuclear weapon at the minister of health, and people killing a family because they believed that this family bewitched them?

Man, please learn how to name the internet terms correctly.

You didnt have a "weblog" here on MyADSL, its a "thread". Your "weblog" or "blog" as it is also known, are those things you have linked in your signature...

And anyway, Manto was a cause of SA health sector problems which causes unnecesary deaths, which is even worse than Ivy with her telecoms mangling. She needs to be punished.

To me it seems to be very simmilar. I make postings that get registered at some address on the internet. And others respond to it if they whish to do so. What is the diffrence between a blog and a thread?

A blog is a specific website where someone publishes articles and/or commentary, a a thread is a discussion within a specific section of a forum.

Yea, but if you look deeper, like in the deep space deep, all those statements are connected in a World Wide Thread, the actual news article is only a section of something big
