Hi

I'm currently looking for mobile broadband which has a reasonable price.

I change my location about 2 times a year so it is difficult to find a reliable source of broadband. I mainly use it for gaming and streaming so a constant connection is preferred.

What is your suggestions?

Please assist, no Internet is a serious bummer :)

Thank you

Telkom LTE seems to still be best priced. You may however not have LTE coverage everywhere you hop around in which case it goes down to 3G which may still be adequate, but there are also still areas where Telkom mobile does not have coverage at all.

At the moment I am in Ellisras. So here is no Telkom tower :(

For gaming? I think you are in trouble. There are no easy solutions.

For normal usage ( low intensity Internet, messaging, email, etc), you could consider getting yourself a satellite-based service (VSAT, Irridium, Inmasat, etc). BUT it will cost a bit more than you normal connection. Not suitable for high intensive, low latency connections required for gaming.

A few years back Mtn had a Uncapped special with a mobile modem. That would be perfect

Recently spent some time in the Karoo. Discovered how useless MTN's coverage of the area is ---- This is the problem --- you could pick anyone provided they have coverage, which many still do not have, not even for GSM services.

Just sadness me that not 1 company can really provide Internet everywhere which is reliable and cost effective

Vox was punting satellite Internet a few years back. If mobile Internet is not reliable enough in Ellisras then check if Vox's satellite offer is still available. Not sure how it compares in price to mobile Internet.
