Mobile browser battles

There's also Netfront, which has been around like forever, I once used it on my 6600 smartphone way back in 2003.

Then there's Skyfire, which is still in beta mode. It's pretty much good, but data intensive.

But I do prefer OperaMini

Will Fennec run on plain old Java like OperaMini?

What about FF's tendency [or more precisely a faulty add-on] to cause memory leaks? On a phone that might mean a superfreeze.

I dont know why the article even mentions Apple/Safari. The browser doesn't run on any other platform and, as far as I can see, Apple is unlikely to open up the iphone to other browsers, at least in the foreseeable future.

AFAIK FF is not yet available for mobile devices?

Fennec won't run on Opera Mini.

Only seen Fennec on the N810 which runs linux.

I think Opera Min is quite popular, especially when most of the time it was spread by word.
