Mobile connection speed - Interesting observation

It's perhaps not so big deal but how many people know how big influence the SIM CARD have on mobile connection speed?

1) Used a 32K Vodacom sim card on both 3.6 and 7.2 USB modems. Very slow and drop a lot.

2) Used a 64K Vodacom sim card on both 3.6 and 7.2 USB modems. Got around 1.3 mbps and drop very seldom

3) Used a 64K Vodafone sim card (most likely data card) on 7.2 modem. Get around 3+ mbps

4) Used a 128K CELLC sim data card on 7.2 modem. Get around 5 mbps

(It's a Vodafone modem but network unlocked.

Can someone however perhaps confirm this results?

I assume you kept the modem in the exact same location? The first 3 results could indicate a trend, but you can't compare different networks (Vodacom & Cell C) like that. The first thee results are interesting though.
