Mobile Contract Free Club

I became free after 13 years of MTN contracts in 2009.
Then I took out a 2 year Cell-C top-up contract in 2012 which just finished in September.

I am considering early termination on 2 contracts from Vodacom - they are eating my money :(

Just ended my contract with Vodacom - prepaid now.

However these bastards take any excess airtime you had - dont carrry forward.

No wonder all these providers are hated!

Waiting for my voice and data contracts with vodacom to end so I can save with cell c.

With Cell-C I lost my accumulated minutes, as expected, but I was pleasantly surprised that I kept my accumulated data and SMSs.

Yeah, I've been on prepaid for about two months now, and it's pretty simple. Think I'll stick with this option for the next few months.

I'm contract free in December.

I'm currently with Cell C but don't mind porting if I can keep my number and get better benefits.

Who's got the best prepaid pricing / promotions at this point?

I've been free from Nashua for 3 years and yet they still sent me a mail yesterday notifying me of selling their subscriber base.

LEAVE ME ALONE!!!

I don't have a contract, but took a note2 from Fnb. 3 months left.

how does prepaid on mtn work? if I buy R100 airtime will it be valid until I use it up over 2 or 3 months?

I've stayed with Cell-C, they have the 3GB/365 bundles for R299.

Mtn contract is due for upgrade, I'm going to downgrade to the R39 per month SIM only - get R25 airtime, 30sms and several mb data...I have a note 3 and afrihost 6GB and don't need anything more, I currently have over R1000 airtime accumulated and hardy need to phone....I will save about R350 per month...

If you recharge R30 or more it will be valid as long as you use the phone - one year (verified), or more - (not verified).

The best networks for prepaid is MTN, Cellc and Telkom.

MTN for their low rate of 60c per minute and wow bonus that give nice free airtime for on net calls. The data expiry policy is very nice on MTN too.

Cellc for their low call rate of 66c per minute. R10 per gb nite data.

Telkom for their low call rate of 75c per minute and very well priced internet staterpacks.

Vodacom has no saving on prepaid. 79c per minute is ok but you forfeit any on net bonuses. Data only lasts 30days and they are expensive.
