So this problem started today for some other reason out of the blue. Cant make or receive calls and no internet.

This is what I have done so far but to no avail. I'm running a custom rom (CM13) on a Galaxy S4.

Wipe Cache/Dalvik Cache
Factory Reset
Updated Bootloader and modem
played around with Afrihost APN and mobile network (LTE/3G/2G) settings
Afrihost SIM in another phone with afrihost APN - Works.

Then I tried the wife's Vodacom LTE SIM and APN in my S4 and it worked as it should. This tells me the problem is not with the phone as I thought it could be the SIM not being seated properly but the phone does detect the SIM just no signal/connection with the network thus problem lies with Afrihost or MTN.

The USSD code *#*#4636#*#* also shows no connection is active and toggling the radio on and off did not work. IMEI number is correct as this can also cause problems if its only 0000000.

I phoned Afrihost and the agent told me he is referring the ticket to the developer team. Thought I would post here if anyone else is having the same problem.

The MTN network has been giving k@k the last 2 days. I couldn't make calls or receive calls yesterday morning but my data worked.

I made calls that was suddenly dropped and the phone reported "no mobile service". Last two days in northern KZN.

I've switched to 3G from LTE and the connectivity has been fine so far. Must be an issue on MTN

This morning I did a reboot of my S4 and the connection with the network is working normally. I dont know if it fixed itself or someone from Afrihost did something but I have not received any communication stating this.
