Mobile users too lazy to switch networks

Inconvenience?

I'm going through the process right now, will let everyone know about inconvenience. So far all I've had to do was fill in a post-dated Number Port request.

It's not inconvenient, people can't be bothered to spend an hour or two to port their number to cut their phone bill in half? They deserve to be ripped off by Vodacon & eMpTN

Or they want to change but are still tied up in a contract.

Now who saw that coming? Not rpm :p

Why should it take any more than a couple of minutes? I'm not overly familiar with the process having only needed to do it once but surely it could be simplified - maybe even online necessitating only the collection of a SIM card?

Just follow the instructions on a Cell C starter pack and you're done. So easy...

Before 16:00, you get ported by 19:00 that evening, after 16:00 you get ported by 19:00 the next evening.

Sure it could be made simpler but honestly two hours (including a little research and going to the cell store) is really not such a big deal.

This make a lot of sense with me currently having an old Virgin Mobile Sim as well as Telkom Mobile sims, CellC sims and one Vodacom sim. Cellular operators are enjoying their current freedom with a useless ICASA just looking too weak to regulate.
