MOBILE WEB DEVELOPER
We are looking for a focused, self motivated and dynamic individual to join the Software Development Team. Our company is based in Cape Town, Century City area. Your role as web author includes but is not limited to the following:
Key duties will include but not be limited to:
• Research of site layout/user interface from provided design concepts and share with the Team.
• Assist in gathering requirements and project specifications.
• Attend project kick-off meetings with clients.
• Perform design and development of new product features.
• Develop cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions.
• Maintain and enhance existing websites and products.
• Responsive design and touch capabilities solutions and enhancements.
• Maintain/improve current industry knowledge of development concept, practices and procedures.
• Researching and understanding fluent usage across a broad spectrum of technologies including: HTML5, CSS3, and Responsive Design
• Site planning and development support.
• Constant research of new ways to make our lives easier and be more effective in business.
• Exposure to different mobile tools and latest trends.
Job Competencies required to carry out these duties:
• Minimum 4 years relevant experience
• Relevant degree/ diploma
• Firm grasp of Visual Studio, HTML 5, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript, SEO principles
• Firm grasp of Photoshop / Fireworks
• Basic knowledge and experience with ASP, C#, HTML 5 and .NET sites advantageous
• Proven experience in internet technology and website design
• Proven experience in coding of website components with a firm grasp of Microsoft technologies
• Must be multi-skilled and / or willing to learn and apply new technologies and languages
• Be able to work alongside Development team to integrate application code into websites and or web applications
Personal competencies:
• Must be able to work in a deadline driven environment combined with a high level of attention to detail
• Deal with stressful situations in a mature manner
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of colleagues
• Must be flexible in a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to multi-task on a continuous basis
• A team player
• Trouble shooting and problem solving
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to teach and relay ideas and focused on knowledge sharing
• Solution and results orientated
• Be prepared to work in a 24/7 environment
