MoBo USB problem

any info will be highly appreciated,

i bought a new motherboard
and it switches on and what what, but my usb ports dont work when i put any thing inside them, pls advise me on what might be the problem and how to fix it

So how many different USB devices have you tried? What version of Windows are you running? Have you installed all the drivers provided by Gigabyte CD/DVD?

Click on start, control panel, system, hardware, device manager. Click on Universal Serial Bus Controller and tell me what can you see under this option.
 
You need to read your Motherboard manual to find out how to perform clear CMOS on your motherboard.
 
yeah, but i'd have to use my keyboard which doesn't work because my usb ports dont work
 
You don't need to switch on your PC to clear CMOS, so no need for keyboard. Secondly you said you has a PS/2 keyboard, you can always use that keyboard on your new MB.
