I just read an article on Addictive tip and thought that I have to share this awesomeness: Moborobo: The Most Comprehensive Android & iOS Management Tool Yet [Review]


And it's amazing...
*You can connect your droid via USB or WiFi
*It supports file management (internal and SD card)
*Backup and restore Contacts, Images, Messages, Call Logs, Apps and their Data

cool, going to try it out, initially when I read the OP I thought it was just an app for the phone, but I see it's PC software

They have another app that allows you remote access to two or more hard drives linked up to your TV/Projector. Also quite cool.
 
looks like it has potential, much better than HTC Sync (seems to kill HTC Sync BTW), but still a bit rough round the edges, need to play with it more
 
I was gonna post about it then I saw the user right this puppy want, decided to go hell no, will stick to My Sync Center thank you very much.

The question you always have to ask yourself is where does a company make money becuase face it no one does things for free, esp not to the scale they doing it. So they got to make money from somewhere. Now add to that this app access all your call logs, navigation history, messages and has access to services that could cost you money(Dial and send sms's) you have to just sit back and wonder for a bit.

This application has access to the following:

Services that cost you money <-- Alarm bell
directly call phone numbers
Allows the app to call phone numbers without your intervention. Malicious apps may cause unexpected calls on your phone bill. Note that this doesn't allow the app to call emergency numbers.

Hardware controls
take pictures and videos
Allows the app to take pictures and videos with the camera. This allows the app at any time to collect images the camera is seeing.

Network communication <-- Alarm bell
create Bluetooth connections
Allows the app to view the configuration of the local Bluetooth tablet, and to make and accept connections with paired devices. Allows the app to view the configuration of the local Bluetooth phone, and to make and accept connections with paired devices.

Your personal information

Storage

retrieve running apps <-- Alarm bell
Allows the app to retrieve information about currently and recently running tasks. Malicious apps may discover private information about other apps.

Soooo, what app is there to sync Outlook contacts? :p
 
Found another cool app, yep same warning re permissions but at least this guy is open and is begging for money via Paypal, also you can see its not his main source of income so you kind of know how he earns a living unlike Moborobo above.

The comments on the site looks a lot better as well.

What I do like about the interface is that it looks a lot like Windows Explorer, seen below.

Oh and one last thing, MIUI Security gave me no warnings on this client vs Moborobo that wanted root Access to my phone.

Have a look at AirDroid in the marketplace - been using it for awhile - love the PC interface
