Modded cars

I think you guys are missing the point completely.

Cosmetic mods are not there to make the car look faster than it is. It's done to give the car an appearance that the owner likes - his own, unique touch to his car.

Anyone who knows anything about cars will spot that is not a GTi just by the shape of it - so, these cosmetic mods are obviously not there to "trick" people into thinking it has more than a few ponies under the bonnet.

Having said that - I would remove the GTI badge, as it's not a GTI.

The rest - meh, if the guy likes it - screw what the rest of us thinks.
 
The rims don't do it for me, and the yellow Lamin-X on the foglights must go.
 
Overall I don't think it looks bad but I would remove the gti badge, even if it had a gti engine transplant it's still not going to handle the same. Then I hate bonnet bras or any other form of lingerie on a car except maybe for the back seat. Hate the yellow and the rims would not be my first choice.
 
I far prefer the sleeper concept. Mods you can't see, and only wonder about as you see tail-lights disappearing into the distance on the track.

Completely agree...

If I'm going to spend cash on my car, then it must have a tangible benefit to the way the vehicle drives.
 
Now modding is bad, mkay? Unless you are making a statement, mkay?
