Modem causing BSOD

I bought a new mobo and CPU about a week ago, and for some reason I have had endless roblems. Whenever I plug my modem into the PC, and establish a connection, within 1 to 5 min, my PC get a BSOD.

I have tested the PC without the modem, and it works perfect, even when I plug a wifi dongle into a usb port, there is no BSOD, but as soon as I plug the modem and connect it gives me BSOD. I have tested the modem on my old PC, but it does not give any problems, the BSOD issue only happens with the new PC. I have run MemTest86, but there was also no errors picked up. I can game for hours, as long as I do not play online, the PC gives no issues.

I have updated my Mobo's BIOS last night, but that made no difference. I really do not know what to do. The BSOD error message do also change some time, so it is not always the same, the one that appears the most is Stop Error 0x000000F4 and 3 hex values in brackets.

The mobo is a MSI H81m-P32
the CPU is a i5 4440
and the modem is a Vodaphone K3772-Z

Does anyone have an idea what I can do. I have tried looking for new drivers for the modem but could not find any, but the modem works fine in my other PC, also running Windows 7, so I doubt that it can be a driver issue.

I have removed the LAN drivers, downloaded the updated version via Live Update and installed, so far the PC has not given a BSOD, or let me say in the past 5 min it has not happened yet. I will run the memtest86 for 12 hours, will start the process tonight when I go to sleep.

Edit: The LAN driver update did not help, hope that the memtest can shed some light

what OS are you running?

If I am not mistaken that is an older modem, there is new firmware it can be flashed with. Just remember to take out the sim before starting.

Im running win 7, the thing with this modem is that it worked fine all this time. It only started giving problems when I got a new mobo and cpu. On the older PC's it works fine. At the moment I'm trying another modem (different brand) on the PC to see if it does the same.

1. Hold left SHIFT when inserting modem to prevent autostart. See if modem is detected (so you can see it in Device Manager) and you can use existing dashboard (which was working before). If works, disable autostart.
2. Uninstall dashboard, reboot computer. Re-insert modem and allow to install again.
