The problem is the following .......... your signal % is to good to be true, so in true SA style we had to redistribute your ability to connect to make up for this ........[:p]

Hell I dont know Rhino, I'm trying to get info on it atm, but I will say my speeds have improved also but then we are tweaking the hell out of everything also.
On 512 in Durbs I've never seen above 40KB/sec and now it seems to cruise quite often at 58 or so at night.

I wouldn't call that "up".

51.21 Kilobits per second is still SUB 56K modem speeds.

Something strange I find with most speed tests and this even happens on ADSL.
For instance that Inbound test gives me around 80 kbits, the test on Bandwidth.com gives me around 112 kbits (approx 220 kbits on ADSL) but if I logon to FilePlanet or any larger overseas server, I get a constant 40+ KB odd on ADSL and around 36 KB on MyWireless, locally I get 52 KB on ADSL (always) and at night on MyWireless it varies from 19 KB (never below) but often peaks up around 94 KB.
During office hours I'll agree MW sucks worse than ADSL.

Thats why I never do speed tests. I find that for the few tests I have done the results are always crappy no matter what. Yet I get what I want out of the connection (at those times not all the time). What Im saying is that if bittorrent and friends are running at 16KB/sec why would I start complaining and making a noise if the speed tests say 75kilobits/sec. Unless of course you want your full speed on a single thread.. now thats being a little demanding. Over all of this speed testing nobody has mentioned anything about this.

There is a difference between a multi-thread speed and a single thread speed. If you are expecting 80% of your package over a single thread, good luck and carry on hoping. I think all the speed tests show that that wont happen and they do so quite convincingly. It would be nice if it were that way though but I think a good speed test should rather simulate a multithreaded download/upload environment such as P2P or multiple users browsing or multiple browser windows. Things like video streaming, audio streaming and so on will suffer in most speed tests (like everyone is using) but P2P for example will be just fine.

So cant everyone just mention practical speed results and not a set of test results.

For example, Im running emule now with nothing else running and it seems to average around 10KB/sec download (with many files downloading of course)
