Mogale City e-billing security flaw

so Krugersdorp joins the list

at least Bidvest demonstrated the correct attitude
but MyBB really is becoming quite the report security flaws hub - maybe RPM should start up a service ...

South Africa is becoming as notorious for "cyber attacks" as for crime, graft, corruption and fake signers...

As said, there is not a single e-government e-service implementation which is flawed in a similar fashion to CoJ. Considering that CoJ triggered the exposure of a long list of security vulnerabilities, it raises the questions why CIOs and CTOs of such public billing platforms have not initiated a comprehensive security assessment? Surely complacency (or inexperience) plays a major role in such neglect?

Well done to Bidvest and Mogale for prompt action - mistakes do happen.

Perhaps it could stretch into active activism again...

I think there is plenty of "activism" happening if you look at the number of things individuals on this forum are doing or standing up for; granted there is no participation in the current LLU round and it looks like a big bit of muscle should be flexed at Telkom if the big picture of recent events and non-events is taken into account

Of course. Amangla. Viva. "Like" it.

What's the problem with seeing someone else's bill? What privileged information is revealed? Or is just the idea of such a vulnerability what upsets people?
