MOH: Airborne = A Beast?

So I just picked up a copy of Medal of Honor: Airborne. Sat through the long as hell installation and clicked play.

Now can someone tell me why this game is giving me about 1-2fps on 800x600 - with all settings on the lowest and no aa?

Here are my speccs...

Intel Core2Duo 2.14GHz CPU
2gigs of RAM
GeForce 8600 512mb
Windows XP-Sp2
ect. ect.

Surley I should be able to play this with some decent frames on the lowest settings?

Er it should be able to run perfectly with those specs...

Did you install your graphics card drivers?

How many background programs are you running when playing?
Is this the only game that lags?
 
have u upgraded ur graphics drivers..

i was playing it fine on a radeon x1600 mobility laptop lol

must be a driver problem

also try closing stuff like antivirus, firewall etc
 
Yea - I get better frames while running crysis on a 22" widescreen lol...

As for background apps.. im a bit of a neat freak when it comes to my PC so I have as few as possible (3 atm - AVG, Razer Deathadder Systray, and my RealTek Audio Manager)

I'll take a look at the drivers and let you guys know..

EDIT: Updating - 15min download though =/

Ok so It wasn't a driver issue - I have fully updated my PC and its doing the same ****...


quite annoying..
 
Are your other games working okay? What about looking for a patch for Airborne?
 
So I have decided to give up on this... I went looking for a patch - and its around 2GB... LOL like ppl in south africa can afford to DL a 2GB patch..

the official forums are a waste of time

GG - Medal of Honor is the first franchise I will boycott
 
Glordit, the patch fixes so many things, the stupid thing is that they've included extra maps and stuff in the patch to "JUSTIFY" the "HUGE" file size!

It's bollocks man!

3GB for a patch?!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Well thats strange... maybe MB compatibilty issues... or maybe the gfx card that you have... what make is it?
