What is "fast extraction"?

I only drink light roast specialty beans and can get anything from 25 - 35 second extraction depending on the beans and Brew ratios.

Other methods, depending on the beans, pour over, V60, French press, moka....

Every bean is different and experiment with different brewing methods to get the best flavour and taste.

They all my favourite depending on the beans and taste. My favourite to Brew with is the espresso machine and milk texturing.

If you have the time and patience to dial in the espresso machine, then espresso. If not, a mocha pot works as a decent enough backup

Getting exactly what you like using a moka pot also takes a bit of tweaking. I use primarily espresso machine, but pot goes camping and off the grid.

High pressure automatic bean to cup machine with variable grind coarseness and water pressure.

Talking beans and extraction what-what and you show us a cup of foam?

We have 2 of those pots (big & small). Damn they're awesome. Honestly machine coffee doesn't really taste the same. 2 per day for us as we are WFH. Love the smell it gives off. I've timed heating the milk in the microwave at 2.3 minutes which is how long it takes to get a pot for 2 done!
I boil the water in the kettle first otherwise it just takes way too long. Next up is a milk frother!

what I like about the espresso machine is making textured milk.
Shoulda said that, not wandered off into space.

Some of us shudder at the thought of espresso with milk.

Maybe a shot of grappa with a double and that's it. Milk. What a poofter.

A bit of both but my vote went with the Moka. The bang for buck in the pic McSack posted is hard to beat.<- that sentence has too many innuendos in it.

Oh yeah, I'm talking single cups only. Any more than one and I'm breaking out the french press.
Good option - often underrated.

One of the best cups of coffee you can get any day of the week. (well IMHO anyway).
The ritual of it just improves on the taste...no such thing as inconvenience for a good cup of mud

Got the same grinder - just the turbo model.

"Rituals" are for people who don't have kitchen drills ;)

Espresso machine for me. The taste and crema is far superior to what you get out of a moka pot. I find the results of a moka pot to be bitter.

I do have a moka pot, but it's for load shedding and camping. I use it on a gas stove.

Nothing beats a good espresso, but at home I use a Moka pot.

It can take a bit of experimenting with different roasts and techniques to get a satisfying cup from a Moka pot but compared to the time and money one could potentially invest in the bottomless pit that is an espresso making hobby I think it's a good compromise.

I love the simplicity of the Moka pot. My family own pots that were used by my grandparents that are still in daily use today without issue.

I just love the simplicity of the Moka. A lot less effort than an espresso machine. I still use the espresso machine to steam and froth my milk...

Steps to make espresso:
1. Preheat espresso machine for 10min
2. Measure and grind 2 scoops of coffee beans
3. Run a cup through the machine without the filter into cup I plan to use
4. Heat portafilter byvrunning some greater through it.
5. Dry portafilter and mug
6. Measure x g of ground coffee
7. Level
8. Tamper
9. Make espresso
10. Steam milk
11. Clean steaming wand
12. Clean portafilter

Moka pot:
1. Put water to boil in kettle
2. Grind a scoop of coffee beans
3. Put ground coffee into filter
4. Put boiled water into base of moka pot
4. Put moka pot on stove on medium heat
5. Pour milk if necessary
6. Clean moka pot and filter
