Monitor not coming on

Hi, my late sister's pc was kept in storage for 9months. So on getting it back, I put it up and the monitor is coming on. The green light that would usually stay on, blinks every few seconds. Please help.

Did it miss the pill because this can cause the cycle to be late , could be pregnant.


Open the box and make sure nothing to lose.

check your video card. and the connection to the card.

something else to tray is clear the cmos then check it out.

Maybe try another monitor on the system to rule out problems with the graphic card.

Monitor works with my pc and have checked for loose connections

This is a cmos problem.take the cmos battery out and put it back in after 2 minutes. Then set bios to default.switch power back on and you on your way.

SOmetimes the boot sequence is messed up or ide cables loose can cause this.Look on the motherboard and you will see a round silver thing..thats the battery.take it out and put it back in after a min.Now using a different monitor you must go into bios.A commkon way is keep delete button in while starting up the pc...just google if you not sure how.
You then in the bios and somewhere there is a word saying default settings.Click that and press f10..save and exit
