Hey all,

I've resently ordered a new high spec'd PC. What I'm looking for now is a monitor to go with it.

I am looking to spend in the region of R 4000. Size wise I'm thinking bigger than 23" and smaller or equal to 32"

I've been doing some research on the forum and the Samsung LA32D550 LCD has been receiving a lot of praise. I checked the price on the Makro website last night and it was listed at R3199, so I decided to take the offer. I double checked the site again today and the price has changed to R3999. Which is still within budget, but now the question, is this still the best monitor (for PC processing and gaming) that R3999 can buy me. And also, has anybody seen it somewhere for cheaper. Preferably a physical store to check for the SQ panel.

I welcome any and all advice as I would like to make my purchase tomorrow.

That is an awesome TV i dont play games with it so cant comment on it .
It networks out the box with windows home server and plays MK4 flawlessly via network or HDMI.
I bought one for R3200 .If i was you and you wanted one i would hang on for a decent special save a whack off R3999

Nevermind.. Settled on the LA32D550.. I had to have it, darn the special dates!

Not in the same league as your tv but got myself the Lg 23" ips today, not the best but moving from a 19" wide lcd is pretty big for me. Got to admit the the colour, pure blacks and the 178 degree viewing angle really makes for some pleasurable viewing.:) .Enjoy your tv buddy.:D

Awesome dude! I think we both did well. I can't wait for my PC to arrive. I hooked up the xbox quickly earlier and the picture quality looked on par with my 55". The 32" is bigger than I thought.. I'll post pictures of my setup when everything is up and running..:)
