Hi guys,

Granted I have the NeoConnect Prime Unlimited package, I would like to monitor my data usage online.

Any way of doing this?

ADSL had it, I wouldn't mind doing this with my Neotel account.

I'd also like to know if my account is connected or not connected (when I'm not at home) so is there any way?

Since there has been no reply, I'm going to bump this up quickly and see if anyone knows.

I'm getting the feeling that maybe it's not possible?

Not yet, but if i remember way back when, they did say that they were working on something likes this, but then again, that was way back when.

Edit*

Perhaps the Rep can give us an update?

I know I'm uncapped, but I just want to see how much I'm doing per day, etc etc etc... I dunno, I'm funny like that.

Being with Telkom made me get into knowing my data usage etc.

Neotel is currently evaluating several 3rd party applications that will enable the user to monitor data usage.

Once the evaluation is complete the tools will be recommended or made available for use.

In the interim, you are able to get an idea of your useage for the current month by contacting the call centre on 0800 333 636 and simply requesting it from the agent.

Thanks! :)

I'll wait :)

hi there, i am looking at neotel myself, a bit sceptical, but will go anywhere but telkom.

i have used magitime (freeware) for a long time and it has always been sufficient for home use, check it out if you haven't seen it before, it might do what you want it to do.

I have downloaded and installed Bandwidth Meter Pro v2.6 Build 629

Does the trick and very well IMO.

If anyone wants it, toss me a PM with your e-mail and I'll send it to you.

Why would you want your users to monitor their own usage? If your agents already have the info, maybe just work on a way to get the info back to your users? Set up a site, sms facility whatever. If you need some tips, look at what the other service providers are doing. NOBODY tells their users to monitor their own usage!!!

The features you refer to are going to be made available either via sms / email / online.

There are several supporting bits of infrastructure that need to pass testing first before this facilty is available.

However, in all fairness a 3rd party application to monitor this is also an option for clients as it is independant of the service provider (yet certified) to ensure neutral results.

Download Bandwith Vista.
Don't be fooled by the title, its also windows on XP.
I have used bandwidth meter before and found Bandwidth Vista has more to offer.

Jeez, this is taking long!!

I'm also on the NeoConnect Prime Unlimited package, and I use NetWorx (http://www.softperfect.com/download/freeware/networx_setup.exe) to monitor my bandwidth usage. You can check your average kbps hourly, weekly, monthly etc.. plus I get it to dial-up for me everytime I boot up (with reconnect enabled in the dial-up adapter settings :D) which is great for the line dropping.

Happy times.

I installed Networx on an old micro SD card which slots into the NeoGo device and run the program from the card. Now it can monitor usage on any machine/pc account .
