Monkey 'witch' burnt by mob

So because Europeans did it, we should withold criticizism from people who do it elsewhere? That what you saying?
Yes, basically (god I love this spelling corrector in chrome)
in the same way that I want America or Europe to shut the hell up about atrocities in African countries when they are the chief cause and perpetrators of even worse isht.

Yeah, but the thing is it's 2011 right now.

it's 2011 in Europe and in West Coast, the township dwellers on the west rand are barely out of a barbaric age which was followed by 3 centuries of slavery and apartheid

Probably trying to put the poor thing out of it's misery.

I certainly hope so. Police are not supposed to get wrapped up in witchcraft nonsense. They're supposed to be there to protect our rights. I don't recall us having the right to kill bewitched monkeys.

Exactly: The Spanish brutalise bulls, the Faroese brutalise whales, the Chinese think rhino horn is an aphrodisiac and countless people the world over don't give a **** where their meat or leather comes from.

People are simply apathetic, ignorant or conditioned into belief and custom and never take a moment to think about what they're doing. People are selfish and "me" always comes before "you."

A pity to read this article but it says a lot about our impoverished and uneducated majority, our democracy and where we are as a nation and that's currently somewhere between the Dark Ages and the developing world.

To be frank, Julius Malema and politicians like him are simply the symptoms of much deeper problems.

All of those things draw massive criticism actually.

What about the successful and hard working brothers cruising around in BMW's that came from Kagiso, are they also freshly out of the 'barbaric age'?

Don't just blame the past or Apartheid for everything.

Of course, my point was just that barbarity isn't limited to any particular race or culture.

I was agreeing with Nothx, that just because Europeans did it, doesn't somehow make it justifiable.

Yea but we're definitely not apathetic as you said. All of the things you have mentioned have massive movements against them. People definitely care. Looking at the current sentiment I'm fairly certain that bull fights for example will end in my lifetime.

well, those guys are probably educated if they are hard working (hard work is a European import), albeit limited education if they are "brothers cruising around in BMW's", or they are BEE morons
That monkey's face made me almost cry, it was so confused, hartseer. There is a very sensible case for blaming apartheid for everything.

Sense. This post makes none.

I'm not so sure about that. Yes, there are movements against it but there seem to be more people for than against. Actually, not so much "for" as indifferent to it ("it" being barbarity in general).

I sincerely hope that you're right, however.

I really can't argue with that I'm afraid. Always maintained he's a product of apartheid, the complete reverse of it and it's scary.

There are people for it to be sure but they're definitely on the decline. Overall as a species we have become far more concerned about the welfare of other species than we ever have before.

What do they believe?

had to listen to a story how the black men around the farm do voodoo and turn into snakes and eat their sheep, blew the head off a snake and it turned into a man, etc

WEird.
( not saying you are lying)
I never heard that. The scariest one for me was about the owl that hoots on the roof :D

Story reminds me of the movie Silent Hill. I won't disclose anymore, might spoil it for some, great movie though and very historically factual, religious fanaticism makes people do some crazy stuff.
