i'd like to invest +-n R500 -R1000 monthly, there are so many options, investment fundi's out there, please let me know which is the best choice to maximize growth and minimize costs.

Yes, I have a TFSA and pension fund, no time frame but would like access to some funds, i don't want to lose my capital so I'm thinking low risk.

After that, get a taxfree savings account and invest in Satrix INDi.
