Monza concept previews Opel's future

That actually looks decent.

Pity about the badge :p

Gullwings. One of those ideas best left to birds.
And - how do you wind down the window if you are leaving the car park (where you just dinged your door on the ceiling?
And yeah. Two words mentioned there gave me the chills - Mazda and Opel.

Someone parks a bit to close to you on both sides and you won't be able to open any doors :D

I foresee many "Bad Parking" pictures on this site of these cars if they go ahead with those doors.

If this makes COTY then it'll be worth a fortune some 20years down the line..

/Holding thumbs.

If this does come in GSi it will only appreciate in value as the years and mileage clocks up. We'd better get an expert in that knows Monza value trends, maybe satrunz or ToxicBunny can advise.

But will the aircon still be functioning, 20 years down the line?

I unfortunately have to reserve judgement on this from a GSi and value appreciation standpoint.

Opel are notorious for heavily modifying the production vehicles from the concepts.

Uhm...I don't know how low the parking garages are where you live but it's certainly not a problem.

If anything if all cars had gullwing doors I wouldn't have other idiots smashing my cars whenever they opened their regular doors.

It will never happen on a mass production car like this though.

That being said without a hinge like most others I have to agree this isn't a great design.

Lamborghini's scissor system still makes the most sense with the forward and up flipping hinge.
