More Cell C executives resign

Btw these were not resignations,...
CellC is struggling with profitability i.e. Lars spent too much money and they are struggling to pay it back.

It must be a stressful job being an executive in a mobile phone operator. Their costs are huge, but if they get it right, its almost a licence to print money. Its the bit before the printing that is hard. They may get R1m or more compensation, but have to pull finger big time.

Loans can always be extended. Rather wait a few years more than face a liquidation

8ta is the new Cell C. Buy buy Cell C; greedy shareholders are behind all of this twak.
Nothing greedy about trying to stay in business (they were not profitable).

8ta considering Telkom's record might very well reach the same point soon.

That is quite an exodus....all that is missing is for the CFO to take off. I wonder what is going on?

Look @ his new signature too - OC is in top form!
Yeah...still trying to figure out the smell part though.

Maybe they changed from 900 to a higher band in your area, I know they had to do that in some built up urban areas to get more throughput?

My Cell C decided to unRICA itself, so kind of not happy with it right now, but before that it whipped VC around CT.

Im just joking man...you guys dont smell.............you stink. I always make sure I take my bottle of Jean Paul with me whenever I go to a place I know a lot of straight people will be congregated in a confined space.

:p

Mass restructuring, no guarantee of jobs, senior heads rolling, ...not quite an environment for stability...

Typical corporate crap --- network upgrade had to be done or shutdown CellC, failure to turn a quick profit meant somebody's head had to roll (so goodbye Lars).
New "CEO/stand in" has to be seen as willing to take hard decisions to get the company back into profitability (hello restructuring, heads rolling, ...)

As a consumer I say run after the next special, loyalty to a brand is fickle unless they can consistently deliver the goods at a reasonable or justifiable price...

Never good to generalize, plus Jean Paul IMO stinks... (nothing personal though ;))

Could be I guess. Either that or the cells have contracted so badly due to cell breathing they now the size of a pea due to congestion lol. But ja...nothing I can do about that I guess. I do think Cell C made a good go of it...but my personal...and I repeat, PERSONAL experience so far sucks. Glad there are guys out there that is getting good network service...but come the time for me to renew...I will definitely be leaving them the way things are now.

Granted the RBM deal is a great one....but the fact that the service have gone downhill so badly just leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. I am still bound by contract till 2013 sometime....so things might change before then I guess. Time will tell.

CellC for me is crap; used to be great... Also won't be renewing.

/nods in agreement

Both Reichelt and Reddick’s resignations were sudden, without any detailed feedback from the company, and Cell C would also not provide details on the latest resignations.

The company merely said “except in the case of the CEO, we don’t comment on the reasons why executives leave the company”.

It wouldn't hurt to reassure your consumers... especially consumers thinking of making a switch ;)

The last people you want defending you image are demoralized staff... This is normal... Finish the restructuring / retrenchments ASAP, and then start to rebuild moral, internally and then externally... As I said forget loyalty, focus on the specials...

Ag poo!
I just signed up for a 24 month Red Bull 200 contract
Hope this type of stuff won't ripple to come bite me in the ass eventually

It shouldn't hurt too bad; they already spent the money on a good network -- so the decisions they have is either to maintain the network or close shop. In either case you should be fine for 2 years.
