1997 Defender 300 Tdi 292000km with the following extra's.
The HT is the 3 door station wagon

The HT is nice because you can modify the interior to have a full-length bed in the back
 
In that price range, I'd look at double cab bakkies (probably an Isuzu 280DT) or a Gen 2 Pajero (2.8 TD).
 
I don't know many Defender drivers that have them as their dailys.

That looks good, nice selection of extras.
But almost 300 000km, it is a bit high!

Ah as long as you have alternatives. I love my Forester but it's costing me about R3k a month in petrol (that was before the increase) :( :(

Only issue I had with the Td5 is the front propshaft had to be replaced with a double-cardan one from a Disco2 due to the 2" lift. Other than that, it was perfect.

Td4 is as economical, reliability-wise it's too early to tell, but in Europe the Transit vans with the same engine (used by deliveries, builders & telcos) have put on millions and millions of kms without major hassles. Then again, their diesel is of much better quality than ours...

those are 16" alloys, not 15". Right there you have to wonder, the dealer can't even get the basics right.

Whatever you do, get it checked out by a landy expert.

Haha ok, looking at that group now, confusing as hell.

I would never of thought these would come with air con!

Ok so youre saying if i decide to go and look at buying one, i should get the landy expert to check it out?
Is that kind of the same as an AA check? (for land rovers)
