Most games crashing

Okay, so here's the full update and the answer seems to have been "I'm stupid".

I ran 3D Mark first and this time it actually started running. Good. But then I saw artifacts. Like a **** load of artifacts. That struck me as odd.

I exited and tried Skyrim. The same crash causing a non responsive game as before.

So obviously not PSU, but the artifacts thing bothered me. I opened up afterburner and was shocked to see that it was in the highest overclock profile position. When I got the card I upped the core, memory and voltage a little and tested with 3D Mark and eventually got a slightly overclocked profile and then a high profile, which didn't cause artifacts but didn't raise the score any further.

Initially that profile was fine when playing BF3 and I used it for Arkham as well. But I guess the setting became unstable and I always thought that Afterburner had to be running in order for it to load a profile. So I guess one day I closed it thinking it would be back to default and didn't realize it was still overclocked.

Talk about an idiot.

Returned to default settings, ran afterburner and it appeared fine. Ran Skyrim and didn't get the same crash after just seconds of gaming. So I assume everything is okay now.

Doh.
