Most popular operating systems among developers

More Mac Devs than Linux devs turn to Stack Overflow. This is not popularity of OS, it is a negative reflection of the quality of the developer. This observation of the statistics shouldn't be a boast.

I'm glad you think that developers who use a certain OS turn to stack overflow. I can tell you that so many full time linux users, such as myself, make use of Stack Overflow so you can get off your high horse. We all need assistance occasionally.

Of course.

The stats from SO should only be read as for developers using STACK OVERFLOW Mac OS is the 2nd most popular. Most of which are web developers haha probably front end mostly from the stats.

Fedora, Mint, and Debian are less than 2% each while Ubuntu is 12%. Yep.

He has a point. If somebody isn't an active stack overflow member (whether it be to get assistance or to help others) you wouldn't have taken part in this poll.

Those stats can also be read as "poor people don't go to stack overflow" :D

Wonder how many of those guys using Macs are using something like Parallels or Fusion to run things like Visual Studio etc?
