Most reliable local Android smartphone?

If you are in the Samsung S5 price range, go ahead and try the LG G3.

erm, in the light of the title of this thread (and the subforum), that is a poor attempt at derailment and fanboism...

To be fair, I found that to be good advice to anyone looking for a decent cheap phone... Doesn't matter where it was posted, it was recommended to someone that asked for insight on the other phone

Just be aware that windows takes a bit of getting used to if you're coming from android or even iStuff.

Not a lot really, you won't find your Google Apps like YouTube or Gmail but there's an email client and contact synchronization still works so your phone book is there.

If some has used Windows 8 and most laptops are coming it now, they'll find WP easy to navigate.

Perhaps it will help if someone read the original post. The very scientific research here is about Android phones.

OP is a Linux devotee and doesn't hate Windows, just don't need it. But I have to concede. A high-end Lumia, to me, would be a vast improvement over that sour Granny Smith Apple Nr 5 that I had plucked from a tree call Jobs in the Macintosh walled garden.

On a more serious note: the Windows 8 family works really nice on touch devices, really.

The recommendation wasn't for you, it was for mo0s. At its price point the Huawei Y300 isn't very attractive.

At the price, there were no Lumia's available at the time and I stopped short from buying one at R1995. I did like every Lumia I ever touched and it is not bad advice to suggest it.

The many Android and iPhone apps are not all safe to use, as history had proven that even approved ones have more access to data than it should and also reveal more than it need to perform its duties. The smaller number of W8.1 apps is not necessarily a disadvantage. But i am biased as I have had 18+ years of excellent service from Nokia.

What top end Android smartphone can be compared with Lumia 1520 and iPhone 5S?

Reliable in terms of hardware build quality

Reliable in terms of signal quality

Reliable in terms of software stability

Comment from a young adult who meets lots of other young ones is that he will never buy a Samsung S5 or K Zoom, as there are 'unreliable'.

What is truth and what is biased perception?

Xperia Z2. Waterproof.

Young, in this instance, is not hipster.

Read my posts. I am not prepared to yet again go through Apple Torment. Nor do I want to pass through the Hell of Gates.
