Discovery Vitality Rewards - Enough to buy about 5 x R1000 birthday gifts every year for my family.
I also get about R600 to R1000 cash back on spending.

Nedbank Greenbacks - about R2000 to R3000 per year.

With Discovery, I get paid to shop at incredible connection, cape union mart and a whole bunch of other stores. Keep a Discovery card and an FNB card for the best of both worlds.

In fact, if you play it right, you can get cheap or free gym, free internet, 15% back from fuel, 4% back from online shopping, and at least 10% back from a whole bunch of other stores. That is only with using the right card (Discovery or FNB) at the right stores though.

Do you need Vitality for the Discovery CC benefits?

I think so. I know that the amount you get paid back depends on your vitality status, whether it be bronze, silver, gold or whatever. But the minimum is still decent.
