found a old motherboard & cpu(p4 2.4) around the office, its got a bent capacitor & one of the joints is loose. Powered it up & it seems to be working alright.. is it going to blow?

What size of capacitor is it - it sounds like an electrolytic one in a small aluminium can? Can't you find somebody who can solder it back for you - maybe an electronic repair shop nearby. The motherboard may be able to operate without it although it might be better to get it repaired. If you have regular crashes or reboots it could be a sign that it needs to be soldered back into place.

Yes that is an electrolytic. It would be better to solder it back but if the loose joint is still making contact it may still be working correctly.

Nope, the one end was completely broken off. soldered it in place myself & it seems to be working :)
