So I have this issue, earlier today my PC was turning off for no reason, no blue screens etc. It just went off, so I reset the BIOS via the application (DEL Key). Now it won't turn on.

What it does is turns on then, all the fans spin up yet the screen doesn't turn on.

What I have tried is reseating the CPU and testing the LCD and using a new graphics card (9500 GT) and I have a 9600.

I have an ASUS P5N-D

Could be dodgy Sata ports .... happened to me and the symptoms sound basically identical.

Remove the battery from the Motherboard for 10mins.
That should reset the BIOS to default.

If it doesn't boot after that then it sounds a little dodgy...

hmm even if I set the jumper on the mobo to reset the bios it still turns on but doesn't boot. Will try to remove battery now.

Try another PSU. Pretty common for a faulty PSU to allow lights & fans to come on but never reach the bios screen, seen it many times.

My old gigabyte mobo did this. If you get it sorted please do let me know how, I wanna get this old mobo working.

So current status, it doesn't work. So I am probably going to have to take it back to incredible connection.\\

anyone know their returns policy?

You bought from Incredible Corruption? o_O

You can try baking the board. Google it :D

I have a Gigabyte board as well. Bought from Incredible Corruption. DON'T ask me why on earth i bought it from there! Must have been young and stupid :P

Had the same thing happen 3 times, PSU all 3 times. Even threw away a Thermaltake 500W i bought for R800 because it just didn't power up the PC. [sarcasm] Yay [/sarcasm]

Xzibit, are you getting any bios beeps?

I did have a problem similar to yours and found the PCI express slot faulty.
So that would indeed be you motherboard.

Do you have onboard graphics?

Hi, I have sent my motherboard back to incredible connection (it was on special, belive it or not sometimes they do have good deals) and they have sent it to the supplier, anyway.

My board doesn't give me any beeps when I pull the ram out (i.e. the board has no ram) and I have tried the 2nd PCI express slot and still nothing. The board doesn't have onboard graphics though.

and now I feel like an idiot, the graphics card wasn't seated properly. when I tried it today.
