Motherboard recommendation

Hi all
Iv been deciding on a mobo for my new pc for a while now and just cant make a descision . Was thinking about a Asus M4A78 with a amd 770 chipset but i dunno if it does my system justice. I plan to do some occasional light to medium ocing nd i pretty much low on budget so what do you guys recommend ?
System :
Amd phenom II 940
Amd 4890
2*2gb Corsair xms with DHS ddr2 800 (these puppies got some nice heatsinks so plan to oc )

I hope I do not come across as rude, but I mean it's kinda important when asking for recommended purchasing... :D

Well that's why Silverlight's questions the theory of his Phenom II X4 955 not working in his Rampage II Extreme.
:eek: so you're telling me cutting the pins off my 955 so it can fit on the rampage was a bad idea?

The M4A78 looks to be perfect for your needs (if you plan on running a single graphics card, 6 SATA devices, etc). I don't think you'd be skimping, it's a popular mid-range board.

I'm not too clued up about AMD boards and OCing, but OCing on a mid-range mobo should be better than on an entry-level one. :D

Ok just bought some corsair Ram and noticed it's 2.1 volts , will the mobo still work if i OC it to 2.3 /2.4 volts ?
