I'll make this short and to the point.

I am currently undergoing IT training and to assist we were given a preconfigured VMWare image to run at home which allowes us to use the software already set up. OS installed, apps configured and ready for use etc.

The VMWAre image is 64 bit (the software on the virtual os requires this). Now to run this 64 bit VM on my 32 bit Windows XP, I need to enable "virtualization" on my motherboard. My crappy R600 MSI motherboard does not support this function. Everyone in class is now using this image for studying at home and I cant.

Can a guru please let me know which cheapish motherboard has this virtualization function and whether it will work with my Intel core duo 2.4 CPU? And if it doesnt, what CPU should I get that's reasonably priced?

Thanks.

You enable/diasble it in the BIOS but isn't it your CPU that has to be VT capable not your motherboard?
