Description: I am trying to repair a PC for a pensioner. The machine simply stopped working. The fan on the processor just 'twitches' which to me indicates a short on the board. All the components - processor, RAM, graphics card, PSU works fine when tested in another board. What is required is a replacement board but it is a bit of a pain - small - 20 x 22 cm with a slot one connector for the processor. The keyboard also connects with a large plug. Alternative is to try and find a board / processor that will fit in the case or even a case with m/board and processor. Please have a look - I have myself thrown many such machines away.... I am in the Northern Suburbs, Cape Town.
