Did anyone buy a cover/case ? If so, from where ? Is it cheaper to buy it from Amazon when purchasing the phone ?

Have you already ordered yours? If not, I could do it for you. I would add a mark up, but might make it easier for you. If you are based in Cape Town I would be able to deliver it to you in person, otherwise I can have it sent directly to you via courier. Either way definitely get one, killer phone for the price.

Just pre-ordered one. R2720 is a bargain for what you get. Or you could get a Galaxy S3 mini:sick: from CNA/Edgars for R2900

I bought the nilkin flip cover off ebay for $6 (about R60 (free delivery)) was skeptical about it until it came earlier today its cool, fits perfectly has the lock when close function. Off amazon its over R200 and off importitall its R350. The back part of the cover is plastic and smooth but it feels solid. I think I should try ebay more often.

Thanks for that. Will probably be getting this because its an awesome price.

Now it comes down to making the choice of whether to go LTE or not.

Trying to figure out if the memory card slot is worth the extra $$$ and deciding between buying a non-LTE 16GB edition from amazon or a 8GB LTE edition from Orange and then add a memory card.

Student life, money is tight. :(

Hi guys

Has anyone found out if there's a variant of the Moto G LTE that works with our networks?

According to the Amazon page (http://amzn.to/1gmJF3y) it only works with LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 17 and according to the LTE network list on Wikipedia (http://bit.ly/1gmJKEz Vodacom) and MTN both run on band 3. The listing on Orange (http://oran.ge/1gmJUvB) doesn't specify which LTE bands it will run on.

Any ideas?

What band would Cell C run on. I brought in a Moto X from the states and it works fine and picks up 4G on my Cell C sim. I think that the spectrum that the Moto G and Moto X can pick up would be the same. Don't know if that is of any help.
