Moto X 2014 cracked screen!

A guy did it on an S3 my brother had back in the day... Worked well

Different phone.

Says who? Hairdryer and piano wire. I did a note2 for a friend a week or 2 back.

Although when I attempted it on my Note2 I destroyed the lcd. It was my first attempt.

Only difference the new glass does not bond to the digitiser...

Still works the same after.

So, my statement still stands then. It's an arduous process (I've see the YouTube videos), and not ideal considering that the digitisers are bonded to the screen initially.

I bought my Nexus5 screen from these guys and used their guide to replace my screen. Once payment was received I got it very quickly. Cost me 2.5k all in.

Best of luck.

Yep same guys I'm using. It's costing be a whopping 3.5k with today's exchange rate. Feel like crying but I've already spent so much on phone and unfortunately I have no choice. It's like buying a Ferrari after saving all your life and the windscreen cracks.... R50k!

So a quick update I thought I would share, bought my replacement screen and digitizer from Etrade supply - it got delivered to my front door 4 days after I ordered online! I decided to do the screen replacement myself. After watching some teardown videos and investing in a cell phone repair kit I spent 2 hours and voila! New screen replaced and super chuffed with the result. Take a look.
